What are the principles of our faith?
Our faith is the same that the Son of God, Jesus Christ, preached when he was on earth and is the same for which one of his followers urged us to fight for: “Beloved, while I was giving all diligence to write unto you of our common salvation, I was constrained to write unto you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered unto the saints." Jude 3
All the aspects of the confession of our faith are based on the teachings of the Holy Scriptures and not on commandments, traditions or human teachings.
The sole, distinctive name of the Only Living God, Eternal and Almighty is JEHOVAH (יהוה).
God Himself chose this name and made it known to the people so that they know and glorify it. The memorable scene where Jehovah reveals His presence before Moses for a definite purpose is very well known. Then "Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? What shall I say unto them? And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, Jehovah, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name forever, and this is my memorial unto all generations." Analyze also Psalms 83:18, Exodus 6:2,3 and Isaiah 42:8. The Name of God, "Jehovah" (YHWH), appears for the first time in Genesis 2:4 and also appears for another 6823 times in the Hebrew version. It is a verb: the Hebrew verb (hawáh, "to become"), at the imperfect, causative form, indicating towards Him as The one who always compasses His purposes. In literary translation, the name JEHOVA means "He makes to be", but, more accurately, through his purpose shown to Moses and through his covenant made with him and his predecessors, His name means "He who has a purpose"(with his creatures).
We acknowledge Jesus Christ as Son of Jehovah God.
We acknowledge Jesus Christ as God Jehovah’s Son, as the Bible names him, "the firstborn of all creation" (Colossians 1:15). He was God’s spokesman, or the Logos, He was the first and only creature created directly by God. He was the one through all the things were created, he left his invisible existence as a spirit and was born in human flesh in a modest condition as a human to justify his Father’s name and to redeem the mankind from sin and death. (Revelation 3:14, Galatians 1:4) He was born in the autumn of the year 2 B.C., around 1st of October, before the beginning of Palestine’s rainy winter season and not on the 25th of December. The Aramaic speaking Jews from the first century of Christian age named Him "Ye.shu’ Mshi’hha". Greek speaking Jews and the People named him "Jesus Messiah" or "Jesus Christ". In each of these two languages this means "Jesus the Anointed"; the name Jesus or Jeshua is exactly the abbreviation of the Hebrew name Je.hóshua, meaning Jehovah is the Redeemer. While He was on earth, Jesus Christ preached the news of the Gospel of Jehovah’s Kingdom and fought the good fight of the faith He finished his witness as being God’s "the faithful and true witness", He proved the Devil as being a liar, He won the right to life lost by Adam and was indeed fit to be Jehovah God’s vindicator (Revelation 1:5, 3:14). For such obedience, Jehovah God resurrected His faithful Son in a spiritual body and raised him above all the creatures in the Universe, made him, starting with 1914, the King of His Kingdom. (1 Peter 3:18)
"That in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven and things on earth and things under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." -Philippians 2:10, 11.
Jehovah God and Jesus Christ are "The Higher Powers".
Jehovah God and Jesus Christ are "The Highest Powers", before whom every soul is in debt to manifest absolute obedience, powers to whom Romans 13:1 refers. (Psalms 91:1; 1 Chronicles 29:10-13; Matthew 28:18; 1 Timothy 6:13-16; Peter 3:22; Colossians 4:1). By the phrase "every soul", regarding those to whom this obedience applies, no human creature is excluded, no matters his position or social status or any other kind of status. (Facts 10:34; Job 34:16-19).This is the fundamental, vital teaching or the core of scriptural truth, and of its application and observance depends the liberty of conscience and action of every sincere and faithful witness of Jehovah. "The ordained powers" or "the existing authorities" towards which Jehovah God takes responsibility, and towards which he demands all the Christians obedience, are the main factors of governance in His organization, specifically the invisible governor corporation of God’s Kingdom, made up from those anointed, glorified members of the Church. (1Corinthians 12:28; 2 Corinthians 10:7-11). Most of the earth’s religions, so-called Christians, affirm that this scriptural text underlines the doctrine of "the earth’s king’s divine right to rule" but this is a doctrine entirely pagan, a true insult to Jehovah’s Universal sovereignty and to the light through which He blessed His people. These rulers of nations received their power from Satan the Devil, as he himself stated before Jesus Christ- when he tempted him in the wilderness- fact that God’s Son did not denied: "And he led him up, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time: And the devil said unto him, To thee will I give all this authority, and the glory of them: for it hath been delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it." Luke 4:5, 6 He only allowed people to rule nations, not preventing Satan from delegating the authority, until a blessed time. Jesus answered to Governor Pilate when he boasted about the authority he had: "Thou wouldest have no power against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath greater sin." (John 19:11). It is an absurdity and a great sin to assume that by this words Jesus was blaming and accusing his Father for the lowly crime which was about to come over him. Not at all, but Jesus was identifying Satan, clearly, as the one who vests the present governments with his authority. The earth’s governors do not praise those who do the greatest good a man can do for his fellow creature- the proclamation of God’s Kingdom as the only hope for the humankind or the greatest "good", scripturally speaking, with individual benefits: absolute consecration for Jehovah. (Romans 13:3; Hebrews 10:9; Romans 12:1; Proverbs 16:13). In turn, Church’s pillars praised those who did the good. (2 Corinthians 8:16-18; 1 Corinthians 11:1, 2). Earth’s rulers have always manifested pressure towards the innocence, devotion and integrity of Jehovah’s witnesses. The retributions for many years of imprisonment because they chose to obey God’s laws, instead of human’s wrong ones, when Jehovah’s witnessed did not soil their conscience and did not shed the blood of their fellow creatures, are proof to which lord the political, financial and commercial rulers served; the atrocities in the concentration camps witness the same thing. (Facts 4:19, 5:29; Proverbs 16:12). In addition, the corruption that epitomize the ruling circles proves that "the vengeance and the punishment of those who to wrong", if fit is applied tot hem, often depends on the defendant’s influence, and the perverted human justice has nothing tot o with the divine impartiality. - Romans 13:4; Isaiah 11:4, 32:1
We declare categorically that we are NOT a religion and we do not name ourselves as being one.
"Religion" means everything that is against doing God’s will. It is the worship gave to the creature and is based on the telling of creatures in contradiction with God’s Word; therefore, it voids God’s Word and make it worthless. It means fear of creatures rather than fear of Almighty God, the Creator. Religion is based on the word of a creature rather than on the Word and the commands of the true and alive Jehovah God, as God’s chosen people illustrate it, but which abandoned the laws of faith. (Matthew chapter 23). Religion is from God’s enemy, who plans on making himself "like the Most High" (Isaiah 14:12-14). The worship for The Creator means faith, just like the inspired apostle Paul in Hebrews chapter 11. All the acts that distinguished Jehovah’s approved servants of old stayed under the sign of FAITH and not a form of religion. The same servant of the Most High, shows the difference between the religion followed by him in the past and the faith made known to him by Jesus Christ.- Philippians 3:3-8; Galatians 1:13,14
Satan is the ruler and the prince of this world (2 Corinthians 4:4, John 14:30).
He is Jehovah God’s enemy, starting in Garden of Eden when he provoked the issue of universal domination through that that rebellion against God. Contrary to popular belief, he was not a hideous creature with horns and tail; he was a remarkable creature. He was a son-spirit of God who went by the name Lucifer. The bible describes him figuratively: "Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. Thou wast in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, the topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was in thee; in the day that thou wast created they were prepared." - Ezekiel 28:12,13 In accordance with his position as God’s son, he was given a position of great reliability and responsibility: that of humankind’s keeper. For a while, everything went smoothly in the Universe and there was perfect peace in that just world. But it didn’t last. The gluttony and the avarice got in. The guardian cherub had big dreams. His heart’s state of admiration for himself and conceit manifested themselves firstly by introducing, cunningly and secretively, the sin into the world. Due to his fallen stated that he had reached, about Satan the Devil was passes the following prophecy: "How art thou fallen from heaven, O day-star, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, that didst lay low the nations! And thou saidst in thy heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; and I will sit upon the mount of congregation, in the uttermost parts of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High. Yet thou shalt be brought down to Sheol, to the uttermost parts of the pit." - Isaiah 14:12-15 God’s sentence of destruction against him says: "Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till unrighteousness was found in thee. Thy heart was lifted up because of thy beauty; thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness. I have destroyed thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire...and thou shalt nevermore have any being." - Ezekiel 28:15-19
We believe neither the doctrine of the Trinity nor the idea of its existence.
The Trinity is a pagan doctrine, which is not backed up by the Bible. According to the Nicene Creed (325 A.D), the beings that make up the "divinity", meaning "God the Father, God the Son and the Holy Ghost" are all three equal in power, substance and eternity. However, the Bible clearly establishes that: Jehovah and Jesus are distinctive spiritual beings, separate in the matter of substance: "yet to us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we unto him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and we through him."; "to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord[…]" - 1 Corinthians 8:6; Jude 1:25. See also john 3:16, 1 John 4:9, 10. Mark 10:18. In addition, the Holy Spirit is a force or a power, which streams from Jehovah God, which Jesus also received, and is not, under any circumstances, a being that participates at trinity. "But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, looked up steadfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God, and said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of Man standing on the right hand of God." - Acts 7:55,56. See also Matthew 3:16, John 20:22, Acts 2:4,17. Jehovah God is the Only timeless Being in the Universe, who has neither beginning nor ending. "Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God." - Psalms 90:2. See also Psalms 93:2, Revelations 4:8, 9; Deuteronomy 33:27. Jesus Christ is the first creature, conceived Directly by God, without mediator, thus: "Only begotten of the Father." "The firstborn of all creation; and he is before all things." – John 1:14; Colossians 1:15, 17. See also Revelation 3:14, Proverbs 8:22. In his case, we can speak about a beginning: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." - John 1:1. Moreover, Jehovah has always possessed the immortality, while, Jesus, upon his creation, did not have it, but achieved it after he experienced death. (1 Timothy 1:17, Romans 6:9, Revelation 1:18) Jehovah is the Supreme God, who holds the absolute authority and sovereignty, and His Son is subject to the Father’s unparalleled dignity. Therefore, The Father and the Son are not equal in rank, power and praise. "The head of Christ is God. Father, who hath given them unto me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. For the Father is greater than I." - 1 Corinthians 11:3; John 10:29, 14:28. See also 1 Kings 8:23, Nehemiah 9:6. During His entire existence, Jesus Christ occupied a secondary, obedient, humble and docile position towards the Creator’s authority: during His indefinite time in heaven (Psalms 89:6, Philippians 2:6), during his human existence (John 14:28, Matthew 4:8-10, 1 Peter 2:23, John 5:30), as well as during his infinite life in glory-Romans 6:10, 1 Corinthians 3:23; Luke 23:29; 1 Corinthians 15:24, 28.
We believe neither in the doctrine of the immortality neither the immortality of soul.
This doctrine became known early on in the Garden of Eden, through Satan the devil, who used the snake to deceive Eve. To deceive the man he used the lie: "Ye shall not surely die" found in Genesis 3:4. And he still uses the same lie today through all the religions who endorse this doctrine. The man is not an immortal creature who has a soul different from the body. The man himself is a living soul and does not have a soul apart from the body. Also, the souls is a mortal one. The most trustworthy source, which makes it crystal clear what is and what the human is not, is the statement about man’s creation. It resolves the mystery with which the religious teachings surround the human soul and which the humankind’s philosophies exploit to the full. Genesis 2:7 simply states: "And Jehovah God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." In the Hebrew part of the Bible, the word neph’esh(translated "soul") can be found , roughly, 800 times; in the Christian Greek half of the Bible, the word psyche (also translated "soul") can be found 102 times. In the context of all these biblical statements, it can be seen that the human soul can eat blood and fat, an animal body, fruits, a honeycomb, can crave food, can destroy himself or can be destroyed by a lion, can be saved from a sword, can fall into a hole, can be got out or can be set free from the prison.(Leviticus 7:25,27; Deuteronomy 23:24; Proverbs 27:7; Deuteronomy 12:20; Job 18:4 footnote, Psalms 7:2; 22:20; Job 33:18, 30; Jeremiah 18:20; Psalms 142:7). The human soul can be bought with money; can be kidnapped and sold; can pe haunted like a wild beast (Leviticus 22:11; Deuteronomy 24:7; Exodus 4:19). It is obvious that in the biblical statement where this two terms are used, the writers of the Bible refer to the human soul like something who could feel, live and take action just like a real man. Within the meaning of the scripture and its writers it is very clear that the human soul is the living man himself. In addition, all living animal creatures are souls. "For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; and man hath no preeminence above the beasts: for all is vanity. All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again." - Ecclesiastes 3:19, 20 Another great truth that the world’s religions hide is that the Bible does not preach the man’s immortality but says loud and clear that the soul is mortal. Actually, the word "immortality" does not appear in the Hebrew scriptures, and the Greek word "athanasia" only appears 3 times (in 1 Corinthians 15:53.54; Romans 2:7; 1 Timothy 6:14-16), where Paul speaks about resurrection and indicates the immortality as a future reward, for a special category, or he identifies Jesus as being the only one who has immortality. Jehovah God’s warning given against Adam’s insubordination and the subsequent retribution did not say that only the body returns in dust while the spirit is indestructible, but it rather said: "For in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die; thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return." - Genesis 2:15-17; 3:17-19 The bible states directly, in such clear terms that even a child can understand that the soul dies. - Acts 3:22, 23; Jacob 5:19,20; Psalms 89:48.
We do not believe the theories about the existence of a life after death; also, we do not believe in Heaven, Hell or purgatory.
These are other false doctrines, which are not in the Bible. Every soul is mortal at the end of his life, and the price for sin is death. "For the wages of sin is death; but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die. The soul that sinneth, it shall die." - Romans 6:23, Ezekiel 18:4 All these arguments clearly maintain that the man is mortal and does not have a soul different from the body, which can continue to live after death. The reward for a faithful life is RESURRECTION. We are being told clearly about one of the remarkable believers that he must rest until the resurrection when he will be rewarded for his faithfulness. (Daniel 12:23). The hope for resurrection was specific to believers of old, also faith of Marta, Lazarus’ sister. (John 11:24). Jesus himself assures us that those who did the good will get out of graves through RESURRECTION- John 5:28, 29.
We reject the theory of the evolution as being a false theory originated in heathendom.
This theory is a lie made up to pull the wool over people’s eyes towards the Creator and His absolute truth. True Christians will not let themselves be blinded by the false wisdom of this world, which is insanity in front of God and they will not swallow the pagan pill of evolution, not even after the modern science made a stir around it, and not even the Christendom’s clerics sweetened it. The evolutionist scholars converted many to their faith, a faith that does not have acts to prove it, hence a death faith. Many catholic, protestant and Jew priests embraced it and thus accepted this dogma of the pagans of old, along with other pagan dogmas, like the trinity, immortal soul and the eternal torment. The encyclopedias show that the Greeks and other before Christ believed in evolution, while savage tribes in the isolated realms of the world still believe in it. In a circular letter from august 1950, the pope was saying that it was permitted to study the "doctrine of the evolution, so far as it explores the origin of human body, as coming from a living and pre-existent matter". A telegram of the agency Associated Press from September 1951 detailed it: "Pope Pius XII says that the theory of the evolution can be studied as far as it handles the origin of human body, but it shouldn’t be permitted to raise questions regarding the divine creation of human body." Such religionists argue that God used the evolution to carry out the creation in Genesis chapter 1, but this position is contrary to His decree, that His creations proliferated "after their kind". People today accept the scholars of the science’s answer, because these accomplished a lot in different fields and because they see them as somebody who elaborates theories based only on experimental facts and cold logic, uninfluenced by emotion or personal prejudice and of course unaltered by fraud in weighting out the proof. However, this blind trust in them is not justified through their works regarding the evolution. If, following the scientific method, we put aside the speculations and their affirmations and we live in the scale only the facts, the argument of the evolution is worthless.
Starting with the year 1914, the on-going reigning of the Gentiles over the earth came to an end.
In accordance with the biblical discovery, we understand that starting with the year 1914 the on-going reigning of the Gentiles over the earth ended, and Jehovah God’s King, Jesus Christ was enthroned to rule "in the midst of his enemies". Thus, Jesus Christ became "KINGS OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS."(Revelation 19:16) and Jehovah God gave him the throne of His Kingdom as it was prophesied in Psalms 110. In addition, God’s Kingdom was established in heaven, and Satan was thrown the vicinity of the earth. (Revelation 12:7-12). The year 1914 was prophesied with accuracy, because when the "times of the Gentiles" were over, this was in a complete harmony with the prophecy regarding the "Seven times" from Daniel 4:1-28. (Luke 21:24). At the same time, in 1914, Jesus Christ’s words from Matthew 24:3-13 and the prophecy regarding the "birth of a man child" from Revelation chapter 12 came true. All these are in complete harmony and connection so that we can understand the importance of this year, 1914.
The second coming of Jesus Christ.
Regarding the second coming of Jesus Christ, we also agree with the correct teaching of God’s word. Most of the people expect se second coming of our Lord in a visible way, in body of flesh. Nevertheless, Jesus Christ says: "Behold, I come as a thief." - Revelation 16:15, see also 2 Peter 3:10 and Revelation 3:3 This is a proof that Christ’s coming is unseen, like a spirit, and has to be made known through signs. "For as the lightning cometh forth from the east, and is seen even unto the west; so shall be the coming of the Son of man." - Matthew 24:26, 27 He comes hidden by the clouds, like a symbol, which accompany His presence. Only his alert apprentices notice his spiritual presence. However, at the end of the age He will manifest Himself in all His power and all the habitants of the earth, his enemies included, will be convinced of his presence (revelation 1:7; Matthew 24:41, 45). Jesus, at his second coming, will come not in a body of flesh, but he will made known his presence on the throne of His glory with the angels, namely in heaven.(Matthew 25:31). Soon, the destiny of all people will be decided. "For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then shall he render unto every man according to his deeds." - Matthew 16:27 This discovery of His unseen presence will be marked through the execution of his judgments. - 2Thessalonians 1:7-10
We believe in the redemption sacrifice that Jesus Christ provided.
We believe in the redemption sacrifice that Jesus Christ provided for so that every man who believes in Him and His Father, Jehovah, to live. "That whosoever believeth may in him have eternal life. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life." - John 3:16 Whoever will follow Jesus Christ and will listen to Jehovah God’s Word through His arrangement, will be able to live in God’s New World. Regarding this, we believe in the doctrine of resurrection, resurrection that will take place in God’s New World. "For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits; then they that are Christ's, at his coming." - 1 Corinthians 15:22,23 And as Jesus Christ said: "Marvel not at this: for the hour cometh, in which all that are in the tombs shall hear his voice, and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of judgment." - John 5:28, 29 This merit won through Jesus’ death on the Calvary is highlighted by the title received from God, as the "Everlasting Father" (Isaiah 9:6). Regarding this divine arrangement is Daniel comforted at the end of a faithful live when he is given the perspective of a resurrection- Daniel 12:13.
We believe in the end of this wicked system of things of the present world.
We believe in the end of this wicked system of things of the present world led by Satan the Devil ("prince of the world cometh"- John 14:30), which will take place at the Armageddon. The Armageddon is the final battle or "The war of the great day of God, the Almighty."(Revelation 16:14-16). The, Jehovah God, through His enthroned King, Jesus Christ will justify His Great Name, which was assailed by Satan the Devil and his whole organization both visible and invisible. The Armageddon will not be a local war limited at the plain of Megiddo in Palestine. Harmageddon or Armageddon means "Mountain of Assembly" and refers symbolically at the Zion’s capital organization where Jehovah God enthroned Jesus Christ as the rightful leader of the earth. That big historical event took place in 1914. The greatest battle of all times is quickly approaching and the opposing forces of evil have only so much time to prepare for it. Jehovah tells tem mockingly: "Proclaim ye this among the nations; prepare war; stir up the mighty men; let all the men of war draw near, let them come up. Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruning hooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong. Haste ye, and come, all ye nations round about, and gather yourselves together…Let the nations bestir themselves, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat; for there will I sit to judge all the nations round about." Joel 3:9-12. Jehovah God’s punishment will fall over the people guilty of sins and wrongdoings and not over the blue planet. Thus, we read at 2 Peter 3:5-7. And if God’s punishment fallen through the flood hit the animal world too, the Armageddon will not affect it. (Genesis 9:12-15). On the contrary, it will be used to punish the human godlessness. - Revelation 19:17, 18.
We are waiting for God’s Kingdom to be established on this earth as it was in heaven.
This why it is right for us to express towards God the words of the model prayer: "Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so on earth." In addition, when we say the words of this prayer it is easy to understand that the Bible does not support the religious idea of a life in heaven. This Kingdom, as it was established in haven, so it will be established on this earth. We ask God to bring in existence this Kingdom, as a fulfillment of His will on this Earth, as it happened in heaven. This is why the earth, as a Divine work, is worthy to be an eternal home for all those people who sincerely wish to worship the True God Jehovah. God’s Kingdom or government will bring in existence a New World, a world where the evil and evil doers will disappear forever, and all those who love the justice will live forever in happiness on this earth (2 Peter 3:13). "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth are passed away; and the sea is no more. And I heard a great voice out of the throne saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he shall dwell with them, and they shall be his peoples, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God: and he shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death shall be no more; neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more: the first things are passed away. And he that sitteth on the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he saith, Write: for these words are faithful and true."- Revelation 21:1-5 see also Ecclesiastes 1:4; Matthew 5:5; Isaiah 11:1-10, Isaiah 65:17-25.
We practice the baptism in water, through complete immersion.
The baptism id a symbol of our consecration before Jehovah God to do His will. "Baptism, not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the interrogation of a good conscience toward God, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ" (1 Peter 3:21). We practice the baptism not at a tender age as most of the religions do, but, like Jesus Christ, at an age of maturity, when the consecrated one can decide and is sole responsible for his acts. Jesus Christ also thought his followers to "make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit". This is why, each one who agreed to do God’s will, has to be baptized. See also Psalms 40:8; Hebrews 10:7; Mark 1:9-11; Matthew 28:19. To be baptized "In the name of The Father, the Son and Holy Spirit" means that the consecrated one must acknowledge Jehovah not only as the life Giver, but also as the Supreme One, to whom he owes obedience and service. He must acknowledge the role the Son has in Jehovah’s purpose and also to acknowledge the sacrifice of redemption for him. And last but not least, he must acknowledge the holy spirit as God’s active force that will help him to carry out his consecration and all the time to act according to it. Only the immersion of the one who acknowledges all these truths is an adequate symbol of consecration. Only this is the scriptural baptism in water. However, the baptism is not enough to save us and guarantee eternal salvation.
We do not practice the worship of icons, graven images or any of the state’s symbols and institutions.
These practices are explicitly forbidden through God’s law: "Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee a graven image, nor any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them". - Exodus 20:5 Moreover, God’s covenant declares: "Ye shall make you no idols, neither shall ye rear you up a graven image, or a pillar, neither shall ye place any figured stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am Jehovah your God." - Leviticus 26:1 The Christians from Jesus Christ’s time received the same precious advice: "Wherefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry." - 1 Corinthians 10:14 They were witnesses of the true and living God Jehovah and they were aware that these statues and icons did not mean anything: "We know that no idol is anything in the world and that there is no God but one." - 1 Corinthians 8:4-6; Isaiah 43:10-12; Acts 17:29 As messenger of His Kingdom, Jehovah’s serfs have been advised to keep clear of such worship or veneration of graven images, icons and symbols.- 1 John 5:21; 1 Corinthians 10:7.
We proclaim God’s Kingdom from house to house and in public.
We proclaim God’s Kingdom from house to house and in public, just like Jesus Christ and His followers did. (Mark 1:38,39; Luke 8:1). We do as they did, following their example, to proclaim God’s Name, to make known to the people about God’s judgments in Armageddon and about His plan of restoration of anew world. "And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world for a testimony unto all the nations; and then shall the end come. ... Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world." - Matthew 24:14, Matthew 28:19, 20 This is the service or the "sacrifice" that Jehovah God accepts from us. (Hebrews 13:15). The perspective of eternal life itself depends on our proclamation- Romans 10:10, 13.
We believe in the existence of the two categories "little flock" and "other sheep" or "the great crowd".
Through His faithful Remnants, Jesus Christ made known to us the correct understanding regarding the two categories: "little flock" (Luke 12:32) and "other sheep" (John 10:16) or the "great crowd" (Revelation 7:9). The members of the two categories are God’s faithful serfs, who proved their faithfulness and devotion for him till death. The category of the "little flock" is also named in the Bible as Christ’s "bride" or "Church"; in addition the members of this category form the members if Christ’s "body" or "the 144.000" (Revelation 7:4; 14:1). All those brought into this category of the "little flock" are selected or chosen by God through Jesus Christ, the First to be chosen. They do not gain entrance by their own volition or desire, neither do they choose their position of service in it. "But now hath God set the members each one of them in the body, even as it pleased him." - 1 Corinthians 12:18; 1 Peter 2:4; 2 Thessalonians 2:13; John15:19; 3:27 To eventually be united with Christ in the heavenly assembly the apostles and those subsequently chosen, are requested to end their way on earth faithful till death, just like Jesus did. (1 Peter 2:21; Revelation 2:10). Although they have all been accepted into the covenant for the Kingdom or heavenly assembly, on death they were not immediately taken in heaven and united with the Head of the assembly. They slept in their graves until the first resurrection, upon Jesus Christ’s arrival at Jehovah’s temple in 1918, when they were raised in glory with Him, their Head. (Luke 22:29,30; Revelation 20:6). Only them, the 144.000 members of Christ’s body are the sole heirs of the Kingdom of the Heavens who will reign with Jesus Christ for a thousand years. (Revelation 20:6) Let us not forget that for the first time, the promise of a heavenly existence was made to Jesus at John 14:1-3. All the other faithful people are a part of the category of "other sheep", people who, if they remain faithful till death, will live on earth and enjoy the eternal blessings of God’s Kingdom. The Christians of old themselves based their hope on the Creator’s promise regarding an earth transformed into paradise. (Isaiah 65:17-25). And if someone thinks that the perspective of an eternal life on an earth restored to its state of Eden is too much for his faith, let us remember of Jesus’ declaration regarding John the Baptist registered at Matthew 11:11. All the members of these two categories are part of Jehovah God’s Universal Organization.
We do not celebrate the Christmas, the Easter, birthdays or any other religious holiday.
We do not celebrate the Christmas, the Easter, birthdays or any other religious holiday, because these things are not in harmony with the teachings of the Holy Scriptures. Christmas is a pagan holiday and under no circumstances does it represent the date of our savior’s birth, same goes for Easter, which is not a holiday that has to be celebrated today. The Easter celebrated by the Jews was just the shadow of the things to come that eventually happened. What Jesus Christ advised us to celebrate is The Lord's Supper, or the date of his death, this being the only celebration that Christians should observe: "In like manner also the cup, after supper, saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood: this do, as often as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink the cup, ye proclaim the Lord's death till he come." - 1 Corinthians 11:23-26
We do not keep the Sabbath or the Mosaic Law.
Both the Sabbath and the Mosaic Law are "shadow of the things to come". The fact that Jesus Christ observed the Sabbath and the law does not mean that his follower should too, as neither the fact that he was circumcised and observed the Jew celebration, does no task of his disciple to do the same. He said: "Think not that I came to destroy the law or the prophets: I came not to destroy, but to fulfill." - Matthew 5:17 His arrival to fulfill the Law and Prophets proves that the covenant of the law the the obligations of the Sabbath are not imposed upon His disciples. At Colossians 2:12-17, Paul writes to Christ’s followers: "Having forgiven us all our trespasses; having blotted out the bond written in ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us: and he hath taken it out that way, nailing it to the cross;…Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of a feast day or a new moon or a sabbath day:which are a shadow of the things to come; but the body is Christ's." At Galatians 4:9-11, he asks some of the deceived: "How turn ye back again to the weak and beggarly rudiments, whereunto ye desire to be in bondage over again? Ye observe days, and months, and seasons, and years. I am afraid of you, lest by any means I have bestowed labor upon you in vain." Since God disposed of the Jew covenant of the law along with its Ten Commandments, nailing it on the torture stake Jesus dies on, the Christian must observe not the shadow of the covenant of the law, but the reality.
